Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026
Piqly (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through this Privacy Policy. This policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Piqly mobile application (the “App”).
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
⸻
1. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide
When you use Piqly, we may collect information that you voluntarily provide, including:
• Photos you upload as part of a photo set
• Basic profile information such as age range, gender, and date of birth (if provided)
• Any information you submit when contacting support
Piqly allows users to upload their own photos and create photo sets where other users vote on which photo of that same user is preferred.
The App does not compare different people or rank individuals against others. Each photo set belongs to a single user who is asking the community which of their own photos is preferred.
Photos are used solely to enable voting and insight features within the App.
Users are responsible for the content they upload to the App. Content that violates our terms, community guidelines, or applicable laws may be removed. We reserve the right to review, moderate, or remove uploaded content that is reported or found to be inappropriate.
⸻
b. Automatically Collected Information
When you use the App, we may automatically collect certain information, including:
• Device type and operating system
• App usage data (such as interactions with features)
• Anonymous identifiers used for analytics and performance monitoring
We do not collect precise location data. Location insights shown in the App are derived from broad regional information (such as country or region) and are anonymized.
⸻
c. Voting Data
Votes within Piqly are collected anonymously.
We do not display or share personally identifiable information about voters. Any insights shown in the App (such as age range, gender, or region) are aggregated and anonymized.
At the end of each photo set, the App may present aggregated voting insights to help users better understand how their photos are perceived by different audiences.
Examples of insights users may see include:
• How different age groups voted
• Differences in votes between male and female audiences
• Voting trends by geographic region or country
These insights help users interpret their results in a meaningful way. For example, a user may observe that one photo receives more votes from one demographic group while another photo performs better with a different audience.
The data used for these insights is aggregated and anonymized, and individual users are never identified through these statistics.
Demographic information such as gender or date of birth is collected solely to enable these aggregated voting insights and improve the usefulness of the results shown to users.
⸻
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
• Provide and operate the App
• Enable photo voting and results
• Generate aggregated demographic insights
• Improve and optimize the App experience
• Maintain safety and integrity of the platform
• Communicate with users regarding updates or support inquiries
We do not sell personal data.
⸻

We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers and Partners
We may share information with trusted service providers and partners who assist us in operating, maintaining, and improving the App. These may include providers that assist with cloud hosting, analytics, infrastructure services, security services, or payment processing.
These service providers are permitted to use information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are required to protect user data.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
Safety and Protection
We may disclose information when necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users, the App, or the public.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
⸻

⸻
6. Security

⸻
8. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services (such as analytics providers, cloud hosting providers, or payment processors) that have their own privacy policies. We encourage users to review the privacy policies of those services.
⸻
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
